The surrounding area provides a plethora of activities for young and old alike.

Nearby activities include cruises on Loch Ness, hill walking nearby or in beautiful Glen Affric, fishing, cycling, historical sites, bird watching, castles and distilleries to name but a few. There are some good pubs with real ales and good home cooking nearby.

The Highland capital of Inverness is 15 miles to the north and it provides swimming pools, a great range of shops, restuarants, dolphin cruises, the Caledonian Canal, a bowling alley and golf courses again to name just a few.

Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Brodie Castle, The Clava Cairns and Dunrobin Castle are all between 30 – 90 minutes drive from the cottage.
